The first step to learn any type of cooking is to know the basic. To cook an Indian dish you will know about the spices and flavors.

For cooking a gravy or curry, spice like turmeric, whole coriander, cumin, garam masala, salt, sugar and red chilly powder are required. Make paste of them and put in hot oil. When a nice smell comes out and oil separates from the gravy, add water to boil for some minutes. One can also use chopped onion, paste of ginger and garlic, while frying.

Most of the dishes needs popping up of whole roasted spices like cardamom, cinnamon, whole cumin seeds, whole coriander seeds, whole mustard seeds, etc. You have to heat the oil. Then put one or combines spices according to the dish to bring out the flavors from them. Once they pop-up, you can put other paste or chopped ingredients.

Other important parts of Indian food are coconut, mustard paste, cashew paste, poppy seed paste and curd. You can add one of these things or by combining few of them in a dish to make a whole new dish.

Dal or pulses are very easy to make. First, boil and cook it. You can cook it with vegetables, too. After it has been cooked properly, next part is to add flavor to it. Take another pan and put oil to heat. Put onions or tomatoes or other dry seeds and let them crackle. However, in India there is variety of pulses available, which should be known first.

Tips To Lose Weight

Many of us try lot of therapies to lose weight and come back in shape. There are some of the tips which can be worth experimenting.

Water therapy is known to lot of people. Try to drink lot of water daily. The energy or the fats in our body is burned to make the water digest. Another idea is to drink ice-cold water. It should really chill. This will help your body to lose weight in lesser time.

Liquid diet is another way. It is up to you, what ingredients you want to include. One can have juice and water. But another one can drink soups and vegetarian and non- vegetarian stalk along with juice. Do not eat anything solid. Be aware that this can be risky. So, doctor’s advice is required.

Shock diet is very popular nowadays. According to this, you will eat an amount of food one day but the next day you will eat shockingly less quantity of food.
Try to maintain a life with exercises. It does not mean that you will have to work out for a few hours daily on a strict basis. Follow certain habits like walking, climbing stairs instead of using the lift and staying active.

Psychologically, some determination is required. So9me ideas can really help. Never throw your old jeans as it is not fitting in now. Take a challenge that you will be in it someday. Feed your mind with thoughts like ‘I have to diet’ or ‘oh, my god, my tummy is out of shape’.
