Loria Center – The New Light Of Art And Architecture
Yale’s School of Art and architecture was established in the year 1963 is considered as a masterpiece in the history of the late modernization. It is also cursed by some of the art lovers because of its unbalanced structure and architectural splendors with the surrounding landscapes. Renovation and restructuring planning of year 2008 – 09 included the Robert B Haas Family Arts Library and the Rudolph Building. But the main portion of this renovation was the incorporation of the Jeffrey H Loria Center for the History of arts.
There are many other centers for the study of art and architecture in the world and thousands of scholars are working towards the growth, development and study of art and history of it. But the Yale’s School of Art and architecture holds a special position in this field from the earlier days of its establishment.
Siegel and Associates of New York City took the responsibility of this massive construction and renovation. Despite of being a monument of glass, concrete and steel, there was some thing missing in the building. The restoration work and the incorporation of Loria Center brought completeness and balance to the building because it focuses on the field of art study which was missing.
In April 2009 the new Alumni Conference took place in the building of Yale’s School Of Art And Architecture. It was decided that considerations of the previous council members which is still in a theoretical stage, will be constructed and displayed in the campus. The Loria Center has taken a vital role in the study of modern and contemporary art and architecture and has emerged as one of the leading hope and epitome for the future of human art and architecture.
