Some jobs also require the nurse to practice for a few years before he or she can apply for certain jobs. Depending on the job that the applicant applies for the applicant may also have to have good credentials in high school for certain subjects like math, English and biology.

In order to apply for a travel nursing job the nurse should have a passport. If the travelling nurse is applying for a domestic job then he or she will not need a passport but he or she will be required to travel. The travelling nurse will be asked to sign a legally binding contract that will have certain terms and conditions. The nurse will also have to agree to working in double shifts sometimes and he or she may have to agree to travel in emergencies.
